Missions are the practical expression of God's love
We love because we have experienced love in Jesus. (1 John 4:19) Our missions are how the church expresses God's love in our community.
- We do mercy work throughout the year by collecting non-perishable goods for families to "shop" for a thanksgiving meal we call "Blessing Baskets".
- We do justice work with our partner organization P.E.A.C.E. (Polk Ecumenical Action Council for Empowerment) where we join with 27 other churches in advocating for things like affordable housing, criminal justice reform, and heath care availability within our county.
- We partner with UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to respond to natural disasters around the world.
- We partner with our local schools to help teachers, students, and administrators in a variety of ways.
- We partner with KidsPak to prepare around 500 meals each month for students at local schools to take home over the weekends.
